Yesterday we had published the micromax mobile price list with prices of a large number of mobiles from Micromax India. Amongst all those mobile phones the price of micromax andro a60 in India caught the attention of a large number of people. I should have expected the same since Micromax A60 is the only android mobile phone available at that price range.

Micromax Andro A60 Features

The andro A60 is a great feature rich mobile with GPS and Google maps support. It has got 2.8” touchscreen and a 3.2 megapixel camera. The phone comes with a micro SD Card to enable the user for enhanced storage requirements. The processor is not exactly awesome at 600 Mhz speed but then that is more than fair considering the cost of the phone. It runs on Android 2.1 operating system.

Micromax A60 Price in India

The price of micromax A60 in India is Rs. 6,586. That is the best price of A60 on 18 January, 2011 and is available at infibeam. You should search for “micromax a60 price in india mysmartprice” to get the updated price at http://www.mysmartprice.com. The website updates the price every 48 hours and provides prices from 7 online stores in India

It has been more than three months now since I blogged about my plan of leaving the job for a startup life. In this time I have been working upon a no nonsense search engine for finding and comparing the prices of books across 10 online book stores in India. I am really happy to introduce MySmartPrice.com to the readers of BinaryDay.

If you buy books online then you should use mysmartprice because

It is the most comprehensive book price comparison site in India comparing price from 10 stores

A google suggest like feature makes it possible to search for the book only in a few key strokes

It provides you information about prices of different versions of the same book, helping you make a better decission.

Other important decision points like shipping cost and time of delivery is given as well

The result is provided in less than 30 seconds for 30,000 top books. If you are looking for an obscure title, then expect a 2-3 minute delay for getting the information. I am working on improving the timeline.

MySmartPrice continues to be a work in progress. I request you to give it a spin and share your views with me.

I am also looking for bloggers writing about books and voracious readers to get their feedback as an end user. I will really appreciate if you can put me in touch with any such person that you know.

I have made up my mind to leave the job and start my own company before end of September and I am scared to death right now. Leaving the job with a four month old daughter, unpaid education loan taken for my IIMB degree and without any clue about what I will be starting is definitely stupid.

Perhaps scared is the wrong word. I feel more like a guy about to propose to his love of 6 years-scared of rejection and excited at the thought of what is possible. It is such a funny situation to be in.

I must thank three people for providing me the necessary courage without their own knowledge. Watching the success of Rahul and Harsh, gives me the confidence that I can pull it through. I have never talked to Swaroop, but going through his blog posts made me realize that failure is not exactly end of the world.

I hope my decission is right because it definitely feels damn too scary.

Used bikes section completed

I just added a new section to my contacthello.com website that will allow users to sell used bikes online in India. Unlike the used mobiles niche, the used bikes niche is dominated by some really well established and old websites and hence I am expecting a much longer time before I start ranking well in this niche.

KW research for used bikes broke my heart

The keyword research for the used bikes keyword has been the most depressing work that I have done in quite sometime. After spending close to 10 days, developing the website for used bikes I went to Google adwords keyword tool and tried out the keyword used bikes with geo targetting set to India. Less than 4700 people are searching for the keyword every month. That means I will get less than 100 users a day even if I were to reach the #1 spot for my target keyword

I am still bullish on the used bikes segment though

The above goes on to show that you must always get your keyword research done even before you start writing the first html page for a site. However I am not giving up on the used bikes market. I am confident that sale of used bikes, cars and used mobiles will increase in India over a period of time and more importantly more and more transactions will move online thereby increasing usefulness of contacthello. Only I am not expecting to start getting 1000s of visitors overnight.

Final thoughts and way ahead

I know the aesthetic of the site sucks especially the index page. I intend to hire a web developer to give a consistent and better look to the site as soon as I am done with adding the used cars section. I intend to develop the used cars section as a vertical search engine more like bixee for cars. Wish me luck guys!!!!

Getting the initial users is one of the most difficult tasks for any startup. If you are targetting online users then a good ranking on google will solve the problem to a good extent. As all of us know getting links from authority websites goes a long way in obtaining a good ranking on Google. The good news is that the following 6 websites specialize in writing about Indian startups. Hence try to get your website profiled on all these 6 and a good amount of your seo work would be completed.

http://www.killerstartups.com/(6)

http://headstart.in/(5)

http://www.pluggd.in/ (5)

http://www.webyantra.net/ (5)

http://www.yourstory.in (4)

Startups.in (3)

The numbers in bracket represent the pagerank of the website. That is one PR6, 3 PR5 and 1 PR4 and PR3 links each. No website can get a better start in less than 1 week work.
