Motorola and Kodak have launched the Motozine ZN5 camera phone in the Indian market. Even before considering the specification of the handset, I have been highly impressed by the amount of local content that these 2 global players have put into the handset.

The handset comes with default access to many indian newspapaers including Financial Express, Indian Express and Deccan Chronicle via the daily news link in ZN5. It comes loaded with a number of wallpapers that are clearly indian in taste.

Moreover three cricket games by Krish games have been preloaded on the Motorola ZN5 along with live cricket scoreboards, ball by ball commentary, live match simulations and news.

As far as connectivity is concerned the ZN5 supports Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS, bluetooth with A2DP and USB v2.0.  The handset comes with a TV out feature, a 3.5mm earphone socket and Motorola’s crystal talk technology.

The Motozine ZN5 is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000.

Also as a part of the introductory offer, the users would get 100 Kodak free prints of their personal photographs at select Kodak stores until March 31, 2009.

ASUS M930 Review

June 12th, 2008 by admin | No Comments »

Asus M930 is positioned as the Nokia E90 killer. And it does a good job of it. The exterior has a traditional QVGA display and numeric keypad. There’s a 2 megapixel autofocus cam around back, and the usual microSD expansion, WiFi, and Bluetooth. However it runs Windows Mobile 6 Standard — not Professional — so there is no hope of touching the display with a stylus.

At 113 x 54 x 18.7mm and 158g make it wider, taller, thicker and heavier than most comparable phones. There is of course a reason for the M930’s extra bulk - a keyboard. But instead of a sliding to open, the M930 sports a hinged mechanism.

ASUS M930

The full qwerty keyboard underneath is impressively spacious and even a dedicated number key row running along the top. Above it, set into the underside of the lid is an extra screen, slightly larger than the one on the front at 2.6in, and a slightly higher resolution of 400 x 240. It looks fantastic and in use it works just as well. The keys are responsive and the fact that the edge of the screen doesn’t encroach on the top of the keyboard means it feels far less cramped in use
