Sony Xperia E & Xperia E Dual Announced. Dual SIM, 1 GHz Processor, Android 4.1 JellyBean.

After leaking, Sony has officially now announced the Xperia E and Xperia E Dual duo which are affordable smartphones with Android JellyBean pre-installed. The single SIM version is called as Sony Xperia E while the dual SIM version is called as Sony Xperia E Dual. The Sony Xperia E price in India and Sony Xperia E Dual price in India is not known yet but it will be above INR 10K considering the fact that the Xperia Tipo and Xperia Tipo Dual with slightly under-powered hardware are selling for INR 9K and INR 10K respectively.

These phones come with single core 1 GHz processor in the form of Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A which is also used in the Xperia J. These duo will come with Android 4.1 JellyBean pre-installed which is a good thing. They also have 3.2 MP camera at the back which is non-autofocus and LED flash but supports VGA video recording. The screen used in these devices is a 3.5 inch 320 x 480 oixels TFT LCD with capacitive multi-touch panel. The connectivity includes 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Hotspot, A-GPS, 3.5 mm autdio jack and Micro USB 2.0. The phone has 512 MB of RAM, comes with 4 GB ROM (out of which, 2 GB is reserved for OS and applications while 2 GB is free for user data) which is expandable to 32 GB using the micro SD card slot.

The phone is 11 mm thick and weighs 115 grams with its 1500 mAh battery. Other features include HD voice, noise cancellation and xLoud audio for better sound. The phone is available in black, white, gold and pink colors and will be available in Q1, 2013 in the market for consumers.
