Sony has been trying hard to get into entry level Android smartphone market. Last month, they announced Sony Xperia Miro and Sony Xperia Tipo Dual which are all into the higher entry level Android smartphone range. Now, there has been a rumor that Sony is about to announce Sony Xperia J which is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 chipset (MSM7227) clocked at 1 GHz and an Adreno 200 GPU. It will have a WVGA LCD display along with a 5MP camera with LED flash and VGA video recording. On the connectivity front, it features Wi-Fi, HSPA 3G, GPS and Bluetooth. It will come in both GSM and CDMA variants. The phone is expected to be announced later this month at IFA with Android 4.0 ICS on-board. The expected Sony Xperia J price in India is expected around INR 12,000 when it releases in September.
