Yesterday only we had looked at the Samsung Galaxy Y Price on this blog. However if you think that Samsung Galaxy Y is the ultimate android phone from Samsung then think again. Recently introduced Samsung Galaxy Pocket promises to change that perception and get even more feature phone users to the smartphone camp.
Price of Samsung Galaxy Pocket
The exact price of samsung Galaxy Pocket has not been confirmed yet. However the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Price is expected to be around Rs. 8,000. Personally I think that Samsung has made a mistake by pricing the Pocket higher than Galaxy Y as Galaxy Y seems to have better specification. May be Samsung will simply do a price cut in 1-2 weeks and then the Samsung galaxy Pocket price will be less than that of Samsung Galaxy Y.

- The 2 megapixel camera on the phone is a bit of let down. The Pocket does not have a secondary camera. Its primary camera can shoot videos at 15 frames per second.
- The phone supports all modern connectivity options including bluetooth,Wi-fi,GPRS,EDGE and 3G.
- The phone supports FM radio and has 3.5mm jack for headphone.
- The phone runs on a 832 MHz processor and ships with Android 2.3 version.
- It has 3 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB.

We are disappointed with the price point selected for the Pocket. The phone seems to have exactly same specification as Samsung Galaxy Y and the Y is already available in the market for less than 7k. It will be interesting to see what happens to the Samsung Galaxy Pocket price after it becomes available with multiple retailers. We expect the price to go down during the first month after launch in the market. So wait before buying.
