Idea Cellular launched its mobile services in the highly competitive Mumbai circle on Monday. Idea becomes the seventh operator in the Mumbai circle to offer its services along with competitors like BPL Mobile, Vodafone, Airtel, MTNL, RCom and Tata Indicom. The most significant statement during the launch was that Idea aims to garner 20 percent share of the new users in the circle. If they mean it then we shall see some really aggressive pricing from Idea.

If I have to think of 1 reason why I will migrate to idea, it will be because of their lower userbase. With the lower user base I am certain there will be less congestion. One reason why I will not migrate to Idea, will be number portability. Changing the number is one big headache.
