Comparison of price of domain name registrations

I have een doing some research on domain names. I thought that there will be no difference in the price of registering domain names. Was I wrong!!!!! There is just too much difference in the price of registering domain names.

I have no idea why someone will pay a higher price for registering a domain name. Except may be because someone new to the web may not know about the cheaper alternatives.So I have compiled a list of sites where you can register domain names.

The list has been compiled from a simple google search. After that I just tried to book a domain name through them. Please let me know if you think the difference in price is justified or if you know about any other cheap domain name registrar.
